Bonjour,

Je vous prie de trouver ci-dessous l'annonce d'une session spéciale pour INCOM 2009.

Special Session on "Design and Control of Manufacturing Systems under Uncertainty"

for INCOM2009
June 3-5, 2009, Moscow, Russia
http://incom09.org

Session Chairs:
• Dr. Alexis Aubry, Université Henri Poincaré, Nancy, France
• Dr. André Rossi, Université Européenne de Bretagne, France

Manufacturing activities have always been subject to uncertainty from early design stages to real-time aspects. However, raw material availability, rising prices of energy and coming environmental regulations are serious challenges for the manufacturing systems designers and managers. Furthermore, growing competitive requirements brought by globalization stresses the need for efficiently coping with uncertain context. Whereas many practitioners and researchers are making valuable and numerous contributions in addressing this problem using either operation research tools, or control theory, it can often be observed that they do not know well each other.

Session topics:
The aim of this session is to gathering the latest advances in the field of flexibility and robustness for manufacturing systems through fault tolerant systems design and control, maintenance and diagnosis strategies, production planning and scheduling in uncertain context and any other disturbance-proof policy for manufacturing systems.

Submission
Submitted papers (6 pages in IFAC double column format) will be reviewed by at least two referees. Both academic and industrial oriented communications will be considered. Accepted contributions will be published in INCOM Proceedings by Elsevier. Further submission instructions are available on the IFAC website http://www.ifac-control.org. Several international journals are associated with the symposium for publication of special issues.

Important dates:

October 1, 2008: deadline for paper submission
January 6, 2009: notification of acceptance/rejection
March 15, 2009: deadline for final paper

Hi, it's me again. This is the new version of the special session announcement for INCOM09 (it seems that it is not possible to edit previously posted message unfortunately).

Best regards,
